The Student Success Center recognizes and values the unique backgrounds, goals, and strengths of every 海角黑料 student. From your first semester through graduation, the Student Success Center is a place for guidance, exploration, and support.

The Student Success Center brings together several resources to help students make confident, informed decisions. First-time students complete placement evaluations to ensure proper course placement, while Student Success Advisors provide individualized guidance to help students understand options and plan next steps.
Students can also take advantage of PathwayU, a 20‑minute assessment that identifies what motivates and drives them. By combining results from PathwayU with placement evaluations and one-on-one advising, students gain a clearer picture of their strengths, interests, and opportunities — creating a strong foundation for academic success and long-term goals.

15 Minutes Walk-in Session
Walk-in advising is ideal for returning student enrollment assistance, adding or dropping classes, withdrawals, short graduation checks, brief course planning questions, prerequisite or placement questions, referrals to campus departments/services, urgent or time-sensitive concerns.
- Walk-in hours end 30 minutes before the office closes.
- Wait times vary. Walk-in is first come, first serve.
- Note: New students are encouraged to schedule an appointment to enroll in their first semester courses. However, during spring (January), summer (May), and fall (August), new students may utilize walk-in advising to enroll for the first time.

Schedule a 30-minute or 1-hour appointment for enrolling, long-term academic planning, multiple or complex questions, or for full degree or transfer planning.

Placement Evaluation
海角黑料 placement evaluation is designed to help students succeed in college. Accurate testing of each student’s math, reading, and writing helps place students in the right courses, reducing the need for course adjustments and improving the overall learning experience. All first-time college students must complete the placement evaluation before meeting with a Student Success Advisor to enroll.

PathwayU helps students discover and explore career and major options based on their values, interests, personality and workplace preferences. The predictive science of PathwayU gives students direction by understanding what truly matters to them.
The assessment takes approximately 20 minutes and provides immediate feedback that students can use to make a connection from career matches to majors and programs of study.
