Placement evaluation scores are used to match students with the level of support that helps them move forward in their academic programs. Once the student has completed their placement evaluation, they should meet with a Student Success Advisor for help choosing the best academic path.
English Composition I
Per the Kansas Board of Regents, any one of these scores allow a student into English Composition I.
- ACT Reading and ACT English: 18 or higher
- SAT Evidence-based Reading and Writing: 500 or higher
- ACCUPLACER Reading and Writing: 255 or higher
- High school cumulative unweighted GPA after five or more semesters: 3.0 or higher
- ACT Reading and ACT English and B or higher (not B-) in most recent high school English course: 16 or higher
- High school GPA and course grade: 2.7 or higher cumulative unweighted GPA after five or more semesters and B or higher (not B-) in most recent high school English course
- GED: 160

Mathematics

- High school GPA and course grade: 3.25 cumulative unweighted GPA and B- or higher in Second Semester Algebra 2 or Integrated Math 3

Contemporary Math and Elementary Statistics
- Math ACT: 19 or higher
- Math SAT: 510 or higher
- ALEKS PPL: 30 or higher
- ACCUPLACER QAS: 255 or higher
- High school GPA and course grade: 3.00 cumulative unweighted GPA and C- or higher in Second Semester Algebra 2 or Integrated Math 3
- GED: 160

Adult Education
English as a Second Language (ESL) students testing into the following ACCUPLAER ESL score ranges should enroll in the ESL program through Adult Education.
- Reading Proficiency: 1-56
- Language Use Proficiency: 1-54
- Sentence Meaning Proficiency: 1-60
- Listening Proficiency: 1-49
First-time college students with a score below 227 on the ACCUPLACER Next Generation Reading or Writing test should enroll in courses through Adult Education.
