The Cultural Enrichment Center at Kansas City Kansas Community College (海角黑料) will host a special two-day series of cultural and musical events April 9 and 10, featuring internationally recognized, Grammy Award-winning musicians from The Raga Jazz Continuum. The series highlights a dynamic fusion of Indian classical ragas and contemporary jazz improvisation.
As part of the series, there will be an Artist Q&A from 1 to 2 p.m. April 9, which is open to the public. The session will offer an opportunity to engage directly with the musicians in a discussion about their artistic journeys, global collaborations, and the evolution of their unique musical partnership.
The series concludes April 10 with a from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in the 海角黑料 Performing Arts Center. The performance will showcase The Raga Jazz Continuum’s signature blend of Indian classical ragas, spontaneous jazz improvisation and intricate rhythmic textures, offering audiences a powerful and immersive cross-genre experience.
